The Futurism Sales Center, located on a hill in Chongqing City, China, stands out with its box-like exterior facade. Inspired by the local culture and the ethereal beauty of mountain fireflies, the design team has created a high-end clubhouse that doubles as a sales center, offering a unique humanistic experience.
Unlike typical sales departments, the Futurism Sales Center emphasizes future practicality. It is designed as a leisure club with a reception function. Alongside the basic reception area, sand table area, and exhibition area, it features a swimming pool, film and television hall, and other leisure and entertainment function areas, spanning a total area of 1550 square meters.
The design realization technology used in the project is noteworthy. The metal frame in the private reception area adds a sense of ritual and balances the space in the rectangular axis. The strong natural light is filtered through glass bricks, creating a less dazzling, comfortable atmosphere inside. The ceiling features fine straight lines made from renewable PVC wood grains and steel plates, complementing the beige marble floors that extend to the wall.
One of the significant challenges faced by the design team was the low ceiling of the original swimming pool club building, which gave a suppressed feeling. The team overcame this by hiding the passages of various pipelines and adopting an open design in the middle of the pool ceiling, supported with ripple metal plates to echo the water surface of the pool. This approach enhanced the overall sense of ventilation and comfort of the space.
The design team, comprising Xin Wang, Chuang Hua Jiang, and Yu Ping Qiu, completed the project in January 2020. The design's unique features and innovative approach to overcoming challenges have earned it the Silver A' Design Award, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
The Futurism Sales Center is a testament to Shenzhen Fanst Design Co., Ltd's ability to blend culture and innovation, creating spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Its success serves as an inspiration for future designs, encouraging a fusion of local culture and modern aesthetics.
